Fort Dude is another great place for a kid that includes a western style fort that is perfect for a good old fashioned snowball fight. In the summer there is great fishing along the Snake River, a beautiful bike path and views to die for. A short walk from the actual base will lead you to some great local bars. Last but not least the Last Lift bar entices the thirstiest of skiers and has outdoor seating on those bluebird days. Things start to get hopping as the lifts start to close and the band is sure to wake up any weary eyed skier. Ski School hosts all of their different programs out of Mountain House base and has a great setup for beginners. Between the awesome children's ski school area, the children's center, and a youth zone that is complete with an arcade, Mountain House is a great place for the entertainment of kids.

Coffee Corner
Located at the base of the ski slopes, Mountain House in Keystone is home to the legendary Peru lift that takes you directly to the top of the mountain. The main lodge houses a bar with Apres Ski music and drinks, along with ski rentals and more. There are tons of lodging options that are within walking distance to the ski slopes at Mountain House. Mountain House, the original base at Keystone has an all around great setup from the lodges to ski school beginner areas. Mountain House area is a lot more laid back and quieter than River Run although it still has everything needed to have a great time including a rental shop, gift shop, restaurants and a bar. The Mountain House food court serves burgers, soups, salads and snacks.
River Course Grill
Pizza 101 is great for taking out a pizza after a long day on the ski slopes. Grab and go breakfast and coffee is available at Keystoner Mountain. Across the street is Dos Locos which is famous for its Thursday karaoke nights and Subway for a quick lunch. Mountain View Sports is here too, offering your best prices and service on ski and board rentals and bike rentals in the summer.

Probably the best lodging overall that we've had in Keystone. Where hikers once recovered after a full day on the mountain, Mountain House continues the tradition of providing delicious, comforting meals -- welcoming all who explore the great outdoors. However the elevators were out of service for an extended time which also was an issue last year when we stayed at silver mill.
With lightweight Mountain House freeze-dried food you'll have a delicious meal in minutes. Simply add hot water to your favorite flavor and enjoy a satisfying meal under the stars. Well stocked, great location, beautiful views, and the hot tubs were the perfect end to our trip. The Peru Express Lift provides access to the A51 Terrain Park for a little more challenge and fun, while you also have access to the Discovery, Poma and Magic carpets in the one of the largest learning areas of the mountain.
