The area is really flat, with the San Joaquin River running through it, and it's close to the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, a big network of waterways and wetlands. The Mountain House base area is not too far from River Run only an easy half mile walk from River Run. During the night the Mountain House base area winds down at an earlier hour than areas like River Run Village making it perfect for families who prefer to have the area quiet by 8pm. Close by are plenty of restaurants and shops along US Hwy 6 including Snake River Saloon, so you will still be within just a few minutes walking distance to fine dining, and fun pubs in the evening. Last but not least the Last Lift bar entices the thirstiest of skiers and has outdoor seating on those bluebird days. Things start to get hopping as the lifts start to close and the band is sure to wake up any weary eyed skier. Ski School hosts all of their different programs out of Mountain House base and has a great setup for beginners. Between the awesome children's ski school area, the children's center, and a youth zone that is complete with an arcade, Mountain House is a great place for the entertainment of kids.
Also, being involved in the community and staying informed about local issues is a good way to make the most of living in this part of California. For fun, there are lots of parks and outdoor spaces for activities like hiking and boating. The city also has a lively arts scene, with museums, theaters, and galleries. Plus, Stockton is not too far from big cities like San Francisco and beautiful places like Yosemite National Park, so there's always something to do or explore nearby.

With stunning views of the desert and mountains, Sereno Canyon is the destination for luxury living in North Scottsdale. Three new collections feature large estates, single family villas, and paired villas. Chateaux DuMont is located in the Mountain House area and is one of the nicest vintage buildings in Keystone. It is just yards from the lifts and most have private hot tubs. Another right at the base is the Slopeside complex which have the lowest rates for ski-in ski-out condos. The base area has a nice BBQ joint, of course a pizza place, cafe and bar.
The vaulted ceiling makes it feel bigger than it is, and the view out the window is beautiful. There were plenty of blankets and linens, and it was really nice to have a full size fridge and a full size stove. We plan to return when we can this ski season or even in the summer. Great condo close to a beautiful creek to lounge around during the summer days.
