Beginning with a Design-Centered Foundations program, students start from Day 1 looking at the world through the lens of design. Small faculty-to-student ratios in a studio setting create a dynamic and creative environment in which to learn. The Graphic Design program is competitive and is only offered at the undergraduate level. To major in graphic design, students must go through a portfolio review process to be accepted into the major after completing initial coursework in studio core and introductory graphic design courses. This is Alabama’s only GDES Program to receive accreditation by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) accreditation.
